Could I Be Growing Tired of Divorced & Desperate Series? Say It Ain't So!

I don't known what happened here, but I had a difficult time plowing through this book. I have read all of Christie Craig's Divorced and Desperate series, along with the Hotter in Texas series, but DD&D started as if I had left the emergency brake on in the car. The characters were very likeable, the scenario was good, but until I reached page 175, it was slow going. But that's me. If you are a fan of Craig's like I am, you will plow on through and finish the book because you know it's worth it, and it was. I had no problem with the spiritual side of the book because I believe in it, so it was not that. Maybe the "Dead" part of the title didn't register, and that threw me, but it was a fairly ingenious story line. Can't figure this one out.

Cute story, like her others, but she needs a new editor.

I enjoy Christie Craig's books. They are light hearted, a good story, and move quickly. There is usually good dialogue/banter among the characters. This book does not disappoint with these. However, Ms. Craig needs a better editor. Chloe's cat changed genders more times than I can count, sometimes just between 2 paragraphs and once I think in the same sentence. Still not sure if it was a male or female cat. Characters would show up in one paragraph in a house looking out a window, then two lines later, arrive to the house in a car. There were quite a few others. For me, this is distracting. However, I would still have purchased the book and read it. And I still enjoyed the story.

Hilarious fun!

I read the original series a while ago and loved the kooky fun so when I saw this one I had to grab it up.
The series continues with a twist, this time it is the men's turn to have the "won't ever do it again" club and watching them fall is hilarious! Hot cop that has a big case of commitment phobia and a beautiful girl in trouble, watch the sparks fly and in your head you can just hear the song "another one bites the dust" play!
Lite, fun read!
